About a month ago we started talking about the future of the company, about the future we wanted to build and what the right relationship was to get us there.

It didn’t take long for us to come to the conclusion that the right working relationship was for the CEO role to change. For it to evolve, for Brady to step into the CEO role.

Brady Harris is now leading the Dwolla team as our new CEO. We’ll partner together to drive value for our customers, employees, shareholders and community.

We’re sitting on a powder keg of opportunity. Over the last four years our customers have led our growth well in excess of 100% year-over-year. Your innovations have driven us to hire, evolve and think about the future of programmable payments. You’ve taught us that demand for our product is massive and our go-to-market strategies need to more holistically embrace developers, regardless of how big your company is. We care about enabling your idea.

You’ve also taught us how critical it is that we develop the right functionality to support your growth. We’ve learned directly from you how much time we can save developers and our backlog is meaningful. We have a lot of work to do.

It’s an exciting time to say the least for Dwolla. As a pioneer of programmable payments and a team which has constantly been on the cutting edge, it’s time for us to evolve our platform and our leadership. Evolution and progress are a required part of growth even in challenging times.

This change dramatically deepens the bench of experience in the payments world. Adding Brady means adding experiences running Payscape in Atlanta, Ga., a financial technology provider making it easier for business owners to collect money. After recent M&A activity, operations consisted of more than 1,000 employees in 13 global offices. With more than 50,000 clients, Payscape helps business owners collect more than $25 billion in payments each year. As a senior executive, Harris helped spearhead the recent merger between Payscape and Payroc to create a full-service payment powerhouse that operates in 46 countries. These talents compliment an incredible team working in Des Moines and San Francisco.

We’re excited to partner building the future of programmable payments. Brad Feld coined Dwolla 2.0 when Foundry Group announced their original investment and the future of Dwolla 2.0 is going to be something special.

We’re excited to partner with you all building the future.

Let’s do this!!! 🤜🤛

Sincerely,

Brady Harris, CEO
